After the big success of earlier Flip video camera’s, the Flip Ultra HD 8 Gigabyte is now available in shops online.

Flip Ultra HD is an easy to use pocket sized High Definition camcorder. The Flip Ultra HD 8GB looks similar to the predecessor Flip Mino HD, there are however a number of important differentiates between the two. The new Flip Ultra HD camcorder is somewhat larger and has an LCD display of 2.0 inches instead of 1.5 inches. Flip Ultra HD has dimensions of 4.25 inches hight, 2.19 inches broad and 1.17 inches thick. With the internal memory of 8 GB you can shoot up to 120 minutes of video material.

The Flip camcorder comes with a rechargeable AA battery pack. The batteries recharge when connected to a USB device. Standard AA batteries are also supported. Depending on the quality of your AA batteries, your Flip video Ultra HD will work for approximately 6 hours.

The advantage of camcorders running on AA batteries, is the fact that these batteries are widely available, and it allows you to exchange batteries underway easily without having to recharge your battery pack. You could film for days in a row with only a few small batteries in your pocket.
